Campus Minister (part-time)

Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex, NC is seeking a part-time Campus Minister who will work with the Vice President of Operations and Director of Church Ministry to help coordinate the spiritual life program for youth and staff. Duties include:

 

  • Conduct or help coordinate weekly worship services for youth and staff on Sunday evenings.

  • Conduct or help coordinate special programs such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, See You at the Pole, National Day of Prayer, etc.

  • Recommend devotional materials for daily cottage devotions.

  • Develop meaningful relationships with youth and staff.

  • Exemplify and advocate clear and effective communication in all areas of church life and activities.

  • May visit the sick children and staff on campus or in other settings such as the hospital as needed or upon request or permission of the Vice President of Operations or President/CEO

  • Represent the Children’s Home at wake/funeral services upon request.

  • Participate in Children’s Home events upon request. This includes staff worship services, Friends of Children Day, Founders’ Day, School Awards Banquet, Campus Thanksgiving Dinner, Staff Christmas Party, Christmas Program, Christmas Dinner, or other events upon request.

Candidates should possess ministry credentials and have a heart for serving youth. Housing allowance may be considered.

Free Will Baptist Children’s Home has been serving children, youth and families since 1920! We are a ministry of the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists and accredited by the Council on Accreditation. In total, Free Will Baptist Children’s Home serves approximately 30 youth on campus and has an array of other youth and family services including: Foster Care and Adoptions, Independent Living for 18 and older young adults and an on-site community pre-k, before and after school care and summer program.
